A WCU alumnus who has directed doctoral programs in psychology at several higher education institutions in the Southeast has returned to Cullowhee to oversee the university’s new Doctor of Psychology in Health Services Psychology Program.
“School Safety and Mental Health: Culture, Prevention and Intervention” will be the theme as members of the Carolina Network for School Mental Health meet Monday, Aug. 13, and Tuesday, Aug. 14, at WCU’s instructional site in Asheville.
The Catamount School, a collaborative effort of Western Carolina University and Jackson County Public Schools, will hold two information sessions for parents as enrollment begins for the 2018-19 school year.
Lonnie Johnson, engineer and inventor, will be the guest speaker in Cullowhee on Monday, Feb. 19, as Western Carolina University celebrates Engineers Week. His presentation will begin at 6 p.m. in the A.K. Hinds University Center’s Grandroom.
