Western Carolina University’s 16th annual Jazz Festival will showcase professional and student musical talent in what is widely regarded as America’s original art form on campus Saturday, April 21, at the John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center.

The Western Carolina University Wind Ensemble will present a special concert Tuesday, Nov. 28, featuring the premiere of a new symphony by contemporary American composer and conductor Dan Welcher that draws inspirations from three national parks, including the local Great Smoky Mountains.
