The award-winning creative team from WCU that already has destroyed the world with its presentation of “War of the Worlds” and paid homage to the early broadcasts of the Cotton Club with its “golden age of radio” re-creations has announced its selection for spring 2016.
The documentary film “Rising from Ashes,” the true story of the Rwandan National Cycling Team’s journey to compete in the London Olympic Games after national genocide, will be presented Wednesday, Nov. 4.
The “English on the Ides” discussion series sponsored by WCU’s Department of English and City Lights Bookstore in Sylva will continue Sunday, Oct. 11, with a talk presented by Laura Wright, associate professor and head of the department.
Rebecca Scott, a community planner with regional knowledge and experience, is the new director of the WCU’s Local Government Training Program. She also will serve as assistant director of the university's Public Policy Institute.
