Cafe, bookstore combo now open in Noble Hall

All the commercial space on the ground floor of Noble Hall, Western Carolina University’s new mixed-use facility on Centennnial Drive, is now fully operational after a low-key “soft opening” was held for MadStone Cafe and Catching Light Books, a combination eatery and bookstore, on March 28.

‘Interdisciplinary Innovations’ research conference set for April 7

Western Carolina University’s Department of English, the student-run journal The Nomad and the Society of Professional Communicators will be hosting their inaugural conference for undergraduate research, “Interdisciplinary Innovations: Approaches to Global Concerns,” from 9:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Friday, April 7, in Conference Room A of Blue Ridge Hall.
