WCU to hold panel discussion for stroke patients, caregivers

The College of Health and Human Sciences at Western Carolina University will host a panel presentation on stroke treatment and recovery, with multiple opportunities for open dialogue and interaction between participants. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held Thursday, Sept. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. in Room 204, Health and Human Sciences Building, 4121 Little Savannah Road, Cullowhee.

Faculty husband establishes scholarship in honor of faculty wife

Western Carolina University faculty member Edward Morse gave a special birthday gift to his wife Patricia Morse recently by establishing a scholarship in her name at the university. The Dr. Patricia Murray Morse Endowed Fellowship will provide scholarships to students seeking a master’s degree in social work at WCU.
