Embarking on a new journey

Western Carolina University recently graduated its largest class in its 129-year history, a class featuring more than 1,600 graduates. Below is a link to pictures of the three graduation ceremonies of the Class of 2018.

Springing into action

With spring now in the air, the Western Carolina University campus has come alive. Whether it's the International Festival, the Tuck River Cleanup or Greek Week, students have been enjoying a variety of events across campus as the spring semester winds to a close. Here is just a glimpse of some of the activities that have taken place through the lenses of university photographers Mark Haskett and Ashley Evans.

WCU students take in the total solar eclipse

On Monday, Aug. 21, Western Carolina University students took a break from the first day of classes to witness history - a total solar eclipse. Classes were canceled from 1 to 3 p.m. as students, faculty and staff gathered in the center of campus to watch the phenomenon.

Back to School

In a flurry of activities and events, Western Carolina University says “welcome home” to new and returning students for the 2016-17 academic year.
