Potential for inclement weather affects university event schedules

Concerns related to possible impacts from the remnants of Hurricane Florence have resulted in schedule changes for several events at Western Carolina University.

A “friend-raising” concert by Jim Witter for WCU’s Friends of the Arts that was scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 16, has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.

Also, Civil Discourse Speaker Rosa Clemente’s event for Tuesday, Sept. 18, has been postponed until Tuesday, Oct. 23. The time and location will remain the same.

On the athletics side, the WCU Catamounts’ football game at Gardner-Webb University has been moved from Saturday, Sept. 15, to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14. More information about athletics-related schedule changes is available online.
