Three faculty members leading workshops for education doctorate forum

Three Western Carolina University faculty members will be facilitating workshops for a meeting of the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate, set for June 13-15 at Florida State University.

Kofi Lomotey, WCU’s Bardo Distinguished Professor of Educational Leadership, and Jess Weiler, director of WCU’s doctoral program in educational leadership, will lead a workshop on “Exploring and Expanding the Concept of Rigor in CPED-Inspired Ed.D. Programs.”

Robert Crow, WCU assistant professor of educational research, will co-facilitate a workshop focusing on “Contextualizing Improvement Science in Dissertations in Practice.”

The Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate is a knowledge forum with a membership of over 100 schools of education in the U.S., Canada and New Zealand working collaboratively to improve professional preparation in education at the highest level.
