National search begins for next dean of College of Business

A national search has begun to find the next dean for Western Carolina University’s College of Business.

Jeff Ray, dean of WCU’s College of Engineering and Technology, is serving as chair of the campus committee working to find a new leader for the College of Business. The search is being conducted through the Buffkin Baker executive search firm, with Martin Baker as lead.

Darrell Parker, former dean of the College of Business, left WCU in early January to become president of Limestone College in South Carolina. Hollye Moss, director of the School of Economics, Management and Project Management, is serving as interim dean.

The intention is to have a permanent dean on the job for the start of the upcoming fall semester, said Carol Burton, WCU’s acting provost.

A position prospectus can be found on the Buffkin Baker website.
