Students in Western Carolina University’s College of Health and Human Sciences curriculum will be getting resume-building tips and other career advice this week from potential employers.
WCU’s Center for Career and Professional Development is presenting a new event, “Resume Roundup,” on Thursday, Nov. 9, as an opportunity for 85 students to connect with regional employers.
Pre-registered by faculty at the start of the academic year, students in nutrition and dietetics, social work and nursing classes were matched with employers in the area to discuss resume effectiveness and how to present themselves on paper. Participating are Harris Regional Hospital, Buncombe County Department of Social Services, Jackson County WIC Program, Mountain Area Health Education Center, Harris Hospice, and NHC HealthCare of Greenville, South Carolina.
