Western Carolina University faculty and staff members who are parents and in need of a pre-Thanksgiving outing, minus the kids, can take advantage of a Parents’ Night Out event being offered Friday, Nov. 17, by WCU’s health and physical education students.
The event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. in Reid Gymnasium.
“Parents’ Night Out is an opportunity for our WCU students to work with students in grades three through eight in a fun and active environment,” said Tom Watterson, WCU assistant professor of health and physical education. “We will have various developmentally appropriate games throughout Reid Gym, and also provide a healthy snack during the evening.”
Entry to Reid Gymnasium will be at the northeast corner of the gymnasium, through the door closest to the Campus Recreation Center.
Donations will be accepted for the Health and Physical Education Majors Club at the end of the evening.
To register a child or children, email Watterson at email@example.com with the name, gender and grade of each child.
