Kelley receives higher education leadership award

Kelly R. Kelley, associate professor of inclusive and special education in WCU’s School of Teaching and Learning and co-director of the university’s University Participant Program, is recipient of the State of the Art in Postsecondary Education Conference 2017 Leadership in Higher Education Award. The award recognizes Kelley’s national leadership in the area of post-secondary education for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It was presented at the conference held in Syracuse, New York, on Nov. 15, with the suggestion that Kelley’s “unyielding emphasis on experience as a pathway to knowledge and inclusion” should be celebrated.
