A Western Carolina University committee tasked with revising the university’s “2020 Vision” strategic plan has established a website to update the campus community on its progress and gather input.
“Over the course of the next six months, members of the WCU faculty and staff will have opportunities to provide input on WCU’s future, including giving feedback on the university’s progress toward meeting the goals and initiatives of the original plan, which was developed in 2012,” said Carol Burton, chair of the Strategic Plan Committee and associate provost for undergraduate studies.
The committee is assessing the university’s progress toward meeting those goals and retaining, removing or tweaking elements of the original plan’s strategic directives. The committee also will incorporate WCU’s areas of distinction, University of North Carolina system strategic directives and metrics, and other relevant elements into the revision over the next few months, Burton said.
WCU faculty and staff are invited to complete a brief survey that can be found on the website.
