Western Carolina University undergraduates will have an opportunity to meet with prospective employers to talk about full-time and part-time employment and internship opportunities during Catamount Career & Networking Day on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
Sponsored by WCU’s Center for Career and Professional Development, the event is set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ramsey Regional Activity Center. In the event of inclement weather, activities will be rescheduled to Tuesday, Feb. 14.
More than 100 employers will be present. “We have invited employers related to all WCU majors for part-time jobs, internships, seasonal and career opportunities,” said Christine Harriger, associate director for the center and the Career Day manager. “We have reached capacity for employers at the event and want to now focus on student engagement. This is a great opportunity for students to ask questions and learn more about potential employers, careers and what skills employers are looking for in job candidates.”
Students should dress professionally and bring their resumes. For more information, contact the Center for Career and Professional Development at 828-227-7133.
