Western Carolina University’s Office of Continuing and Professional Education is offering a series of monthly photography classes in Cullowhee and Asheville beginning in October and continuing through May.
Each class will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the WCU campus in Cullowhee and at the university’s instructional site at Biltmore Park Town Square in Asheville. The series will kick off at Biltmore Park on Thursday, Oct. 9, and in Cullowhee on Thursday, Oct. 16.
Some of the topics to be covered include digital printing, iPhoneography and macro, landscape, black and white, infrared and travel photography. Some class titles are “The Art of Seeing for Photographers,” “Photoshop for Photographers” and “Getting Started in Digital Photography.” A complete list of dates and class descriptions can be found at photography.wcu.edu.
The classes will be led by professional nature photographer and Pisgah Forest resident Les Saucier, who has taught nature photography across the nation for more than 30 years.
