WCU to host presentations on improving nursing conditions

Ashley Trantham, director of the North Carolina Nurses Association program Hallmarks of Healthy Workplaces, will lead two upcoming presentations about the program, which focuses on improving working conditions for the state’s registered nurses.

Sessions are scheduled for 7-9 p.m. Monday, March 24, in Room 201 of the Moore Building on the campus of Western Carolina University; and for 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, in Room 29 of the Harvey L. Haynes Conference and Technology Training Center on the Enka campus of Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College.

The Mountain Region of the NCNA is sponsoring the presentations, which will cover Hallmarks workplace criteria: support of professional development, system support for nurses to provide quality service and integration of nursing into operations and governance.
