Western Carolina University’s Friends of the Arts organization is bringing together a nationally acclaimed bluegrass group from Haywood County and 50 of the best woodwind, brass and percussion student-musicians from WCU’s School of Music for an afternoon of genre-bending tunes.
The second season finale of “David Holt’s State of Music” series featuring bluegrass, traditional gospel and old-time music is set for broadcast Thursday, July 27, at 10 p.m. on UNC-TV and features performances recorded at Western Carolina University.
