Taikoza Japanese Drummers to perform April 18

Drumming that has been compared to the sound of rolling thunder will fill the performance hall of Western Carolina University’s John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, April 18, as the Taikoza Japanese Drummers take the stage as part of WCU’s Arts and Cultural Events series.

Experimental movie ‘Hotel Dallas’ to be screened Nov. 15

Western Carolina University’s Arts and Cultural Events series will present a free screening of the experimental movie “Hotel Dallas” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, in the theater of A.K. Hinds University Center. Following the showing of the film, directors Sherng-Lee Huang and Livia Ungur will discuss their work with the audience.

Comedy troupe Second City to perform Oct. 26 at WCU

Chicago’s renowned comedy troupe Second City is coming to Western Carolina University to present “Free Speech! (While Supplies Last),” an irreverent look at America’s electoral situation, at the John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center.

‘SHU-DE!’ to be screened at WCU on Oct. 11

The Arts and Cultural Events series at Western Carolina University will present the film “SHU-DE!” with director and executive producer Michael Faulkner as part of the South Arts Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers.
