Western Carolina University has joined the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance as a campus partner and soon will be offering one of the leading nonprofit management and leadership credentials, the Certified Nonprofit Professional (or CNP).
A national higher education organization has honored Western Carolina University’s communications, marketing, external relations and development teams for their work on video projects illustrating the need for a new science building and for additional scholarship support, and for their efforts to keep the university community informed during a health crisis involving the university CEO.
Applications are being accepted through Monday, Feb. 20, from Western Carolina University undergraduate students and their faculty mentors who are interested in participating in intensive research work through the university’s second annual Summer Undergraduate Research Program.
Nominations for Western Carolina University’s Staff Senate are being accepted through Wednesday, Feb. 15. Members serve in an advisory capacity to the chancellor and other decision-makers and meet monthly to discuss staff members’ ideas and concerns.
Members of the Western Carolina University community will have an opportunity to learn about the university’s ongoing reaccreditation efforts with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges during an open forum set for Thursday, Feb. 9.
Students from elementary, junior high and high schools throughout Western North Carolina will gather at Western Carolina University on Tuesday, Feb. 7, and Wednesday, Feb. 8, as the university hosts the Western Regional Science and Engineering Fair.
