Award-winning novelist thanks Hunter Library, George Frizzell

In the author's note of “Thirteen Moons,” award-winning writer Charles Frazier thanks several people for helping him conduct research for the book including George Frizzell, head of special collections at Western Carolina University's Hunter Library. Frazier also expressed appreciation for the library at WCU itself.

WCU students put skills to work to organize annual music festival

Six Western Carolina University students have become a success in the business world before they even graduate. Known as Six String Entertainment LLC, the students majoring in entrepreneurship, marketing and public relations are putting their skills to work to present the second annual Roxaway Music Festival.
