Garcia-Castanon participates in readings in South Carolina

Santiago García-Castañón, professor of Spanish in WCU’s Department of World Languages, participated in a collective literary reading at Furman University on Oct. 26 in celebration of the Mexican holiday Day of the Dead.

Four days later, on Oct. 30, he was the special guest of the Emrys Foundation and gave an hourlong poetry reading from his latest bilingual book, “Objetos desechables / Disposable Objects,” to a full house at Joe’s Place Bookstore in Greenville, South Carolina.
