García-Castañón participates in festival in Dominican Republic

Santiago García-Castañón, professor of Spanish in WCU’s Department of World Languages and author of eight published poetry collections, recently returned from the Dominican Republic, where he participated in the International Poetry and Art Festival “Grito de Mujer.”

During his five-day stay, he took part in poetry readings in Punta Cana, Santo Domingo and San Pedro de Macorís and also gave lectures on “Don Quixote” at the Politécnico Ann y Ted Keel in Punta Cana and at the Liceo Gerardo Jansen in Higüey.
