Oxford, Centeno-Pulido give presentations in London

Two faculty members from WCU’s Department of World Languages – Lori Oxford, associate professor and coordinator of the undergraduate program in Spanish; and Alberto Centeno-Pulido, assistant professor of Spanish – traveled to London, England, in February to give presentations. They addressed sociolinguistics and regional language variation within Spain in their joint presentation, “Lengua e identidad” (“Language and Identity”), for students at Dulwich College, and they gave individual presentations at a “Narratives of Displacement” conference that was coordinated by the Interdisciplinary Research Foundation.
