Mark Haskett receives Chief of Staff Award of Recognition

Mark Haskett, director of photography and videography services at Western Carolina University, is recipient of the 2017 Chief of Staff Award of Recognition.

Melissa Canady Wargo, the chancellor’s chief of staff, presented the award to Haskett at the quarterly Chancellor’s Division meeting Monday, March 27.

A staff member at WCU since 1987, Haskett is the university’s chief photographer and oversees the photography and videography unit in the Office of Communications and Public Relations. He is co-chair of the Mountain Heritage Day Committee and former chair of the university’s staff salary study task force.

The Chief of Staff Award of Recognition is presented annually to a staff member in the division to acknowledge outstanding contributions to the work of the division.

The inaugural recipient of the award, established in 2016, is Clint Hardin, visual arts specialist in the University Print Shop.
