Western Carolina University will host a Global Spotlight Series event on “The Great Powers” Monday, March 20, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in Room 101 of the Forsyth Building.
The forum is free and open to the public. The topics and WCU faculty speaking are listed as:
- “Restoring Superpower Status in the 21st Century: Russia’s Ambitions in the Putin Era” by Ingrid Bego, assistant professor, Political Science and Public Affairs Department.
- “Holding the Line? Germany and Europe in a Disordered World” by David Dorondo, associate professor, Department of History.
- “China, a Challenger to U.S. Primacy?” by Charles Fagan, adjunct faculty member in the Political Science and Public Affairs Department.
- “Worst Deal Ever” by Niall Michelsen, associate professor, Political Science and Public Affairs Department.
