A workshop focusing on “Workplace Coaching Skills for Leaders-Managers” will be offered Friday, Oct. 28, at Western Carolina University’s instructional site at Biltmore Park Town Square in Asheville.
Asheville’s own Steve Rudolph, an educator and coach accredited by the International Coaching Federation, will lead the workshop from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The workshop is designed to help supervisors become better leaders, managers and coaches in the workplace and also learn how to manage difficult conversations and strong emotional reactions. Core workplace coaching skills will be taught including building trust, setting goal-focused agendas, asking high-value questions, listening actively, providing feedback and gaining agreements.
Prior to the workshop, participants will be expected to read one or two assigned articles and come to class prepared for a discussion.
The registration fee is $145. Lunch will be provided.
