Western Carolina University will have five faculty and staff members present as featured writers at the Jackson County Public Library’s inaugural “Read Local” Library Book Fair on Saturday, Nov. 14.

The fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the downtown Sylva library. Among the more than 20 local authors scheduled to attend are WCU’s Martha Diede of the Coulter Faculty Commons, and Mary Adams, Pam Duncan, Jeremy Jones and Catherine Carter of the English Department. Each author will be available to meet with readers and sign books. Representatives of City Lights Bookstore also will be on hand to sell books.

The fair supports the growing “shop local” movement. For more information, call the Jackson County Public Library at 828-586-2016 or visit fontanalib.org/bookfair.
