The event will be held in the recital hall of the Coulter Building on the WCU campus. It is free and open to the public.
Bennett will be accompanied by Lillian Buss Pearson on piano. The program will include several works originally written for horn and piano, selections from one of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Suites for Unaccompanied Cello, and Alan Hovhaness’ “Artik.”
“Artik” is a concerto in eight movements that was originally composed for horn and string orchestra, but it will be performed using two synthesizers, one played by WCU student Marc Lewis. For more information about the recital, contact the School of Music at 828-227-7242.
