World wars round table to meet March 24 at WCU

David Dorondo, associate professor in Western Carolina University’s Department of History, will be the speaker as the Carolina Round Table on the World Wars meets at the university Tuesday, March 24.

Dorondo will address the topic “‘Conscious of No Anachronism’: Austro-Hungarian Cavalry on the Eve of War, 1914.”

The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room 130 of the John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center. The presentation is free and open to everyone.

Organized in spring 2011 and based in the Department of History, the Carolina Round Table on the World Wars addresses various aspects of the era of the world wars of the 20th century.
