Accountancy program fall banquet to feature N.C. state auditor

The annual fall banquet for Western Carolina University’s accountancy program will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at the Waynesville Inn in Waynesville.

The featured speaker will be Beth A. Wood, the first woman elected state auditor in North Carolina. Wood is a certified public accountant who worked in the State Auditor’s Office for more than a decade prior to her election in 2008. She is now in her second term of office.

The banquet is free for WCU master of accountancy students and members of the WCU chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, and $35 per person for all others.
