Feb. 19 round table meeting to focus on Africa in World War II

Saheed Aderinto, assistant professor in Western Carolina University’s Department of History, will deliver a presentation on Africa and World War II as the Carolina Round Table on the World Wars meets at WCU on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

Aderinto will speak on the topic “Fighting for the Empire: Africa and Africans in World War II” during the program that will begin at 6 p.m. in the Catamount Room of WCU’s A.K. Hinds University Center. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.

Organized in spring 2011 and based in the Department of History, the Carolina Round Table on the World Wars addresses various aspects of the era of the world wars of the 20th century.
