Sitting atop the Southern Conference standings, Western Carolina University’s red-hot baseball team (33-17 overall, 18-6 SoCon) can clinch at least a share of the conference regular-season championship as it hosts the Wofford Terriers for a three-game series this weekend in Cullowhee.

Game times at Hennon Stadium are 6 p.m. Friday, May 10; 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11; and 1 p.m. Sunday, May 12.

The team has won 11 straight SoCon games and has secured victories in 16 of its last 18 games, with the two losses coming against the nationally ranked Clemson Tigers. The Catamounts currently lead second-place Citadel by three games in the conference standings with one other conference series left in the regular season after this weekend – at Appalachian State on May 16-18. After that series, the team will move on to the SoCon tournament in Greenville, S.C., on May 22-26.
