A preparation course for the Project Management Professional Exam will be offered in Asheville by Western Carolina University’s Office of Continuing and Professional Education.

Participants will meet for classes from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, May 13-17, at WCU’s instructional site at Biltmore Park Town Square.

The course includes preparation for the five domains of the PMP exam and students will complete a simulated test at the end of the week. The course meets the 35-hour educational requirement to take the PMP exam.

Vittal Anantatmula, director of WCU’s project management programs, will teach the course. “We are excited to offer this one-week preparation course at Biltmore Park,” he said. “By offering this course, we are meeting a need of area project managers to prepare for the exam and increasing their earning power.”

WCU offers a master’s degree and graduate certificate in project management online. The master’s program was the first one approved by the Project Management Institute.

WCU’s Asheville site is located at 28 Schenck Parkway, Suite 300. Pre-registration is required and an early registration fee of $799 is available through Wednesday, May 1. Registration increases to $999 beginning Thursday, May 2.
