“The Liars Bench” Southern Appalachian variety show will continue its third season with a guest performance featuring the acoustic music duo Carolina Dusk on Thursday, April 18, at Western Carolina University’s Mountain Heritage Center.

The free show will begin at 7 p.m. in the museum auditorium.

Carolina Dusk is comprised of Dusk Weaver and Caroline Carr, both of whom play a variety of instruments and sing lead and harmony vocals. They will be joined by Forest Tapley on mandolin.

Also during the show, Liars Bench founder Gary Carden of Sylva will present his original story, “The Robert Hall Suit,” and a selection of new animals from his latest project, “An Appalachian Bestiary.” Other performers will be two Liars Bench regulars, Cherokee storyteller Lloyd Arneach and claw-hammer guitarist Paul Iarussi.
