Scholar to discuss raising active and healthy children April 4

Robert Pangrazi, professor emeritus from Arizona State University, will present “It Takes a Village: Raising Active and Healthy Children” at Western Carolina University on Thursday, April 4.

Pangrazi will speak as part of the visiting scholar program in Room 102 of the Killian Building at 5:30 p.m.

He has published more than 100 journal and research articles and 54 textbooks, including Dynamic Physical Education for Elementary School Children, which is now in its 17th edition.

In addition, Pangrazi has been recognized by the National Association of Sport and Physical Education with the Curriculum and Instruction Emeritus Honor Award, by the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports with the Distinguished Service Award, by Sydney, Australia, with the Pre-Olympic Congress Award, and by the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance with the National Honor Award.
