The School of Music presents guest artists Allan Ware, clarinet, and Wolfgang Mechsner, piano, in performance at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, in the recital hall of the Coulter Building on the campus of Western Carolina University.

The concert is free and open to the public.

This clarinet-piano duo, based in Germany, returns to WCU with a program titled “From the Heart of the German Romantics.” The program will include music by Norbert Burgmüller, Marie Elisabeth von Sachsen-Meiningen and Carl Maria von Weber.

Ware, a native of Raleigh, has lived in Germany for many years and is associate professor of clarinet and chamber music at the conservatory in Osnabrück. Mechsner is equally at home playing classical chamber music and jazz and serves as professor of piano at the conservatory in Vechta, Germany.
