WCU dancers will perform a Rockettes-inspired routine Saturday, Nov. 17, in the Asheville holiday parade.

WCU dancers will perform a Rockettes-inspired routine Saturday, Nov. 17, in the Asheville holiday parade.

Dancers from Western Carolina University will dance to “Silver Bells” in the Asheville holiday parade on Saturday, Nov. 17. Meanwhile, WCU alumnus and Olympic silver medalist Manteo Mitchell will be one of the grand marshals.

The parade, themed “Silver Bells and Snowflakes,” will begin at 11 a.m. in downtown Asheville and will air on local television on Thanksgiving morning. The WCU dancers are 21st in the parade line-up.

Participating dancers are Brittany Mastromatteo, Katelyn Baucom, Mollie Sellers, Lauren Locher, Elena Cope, Shannon O’Rawe, Sam Gampel, Alex Hairston, Allyson Lohaus, Heather Allison, Colby Creasman, Lindsi Freeman.
