Traditional musician to perform Nov. 14 at WCU’s Central Plaza

A traditional musician from East Tennessee will be featured in a free performance that will take place at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, on the Western Carolina University campus.
CanJoe John of Blountville, Tenn., will present music played on a homemade “canjoe,” a one-stringed instrument fashioned from a can, outside at WCU’s Central Plaza. The event is being presented by WCU student Amanda Watson as part of a folklore class.
In case of inclement weather, the performance will begin at 5 p.m. in Room 110 of WCU’s McKee Building.
