The Upright Citizens Brigade will bring its comedy theater to Western Carolina University with a show at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, in the John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center.
The Upright Citizens Brigade is considered one of the premier producers of comedic talent in the nation, with Horatio Sanz, Amy Poehler, Rob Corddry, Ed Helms and Rob Riggle included among its alumni. The show features two acts of long-form improvisation that Entertainment Weekly magazine has branded “twisted and uproarious.” The Upright Citizens Brigade tour features talented New York and Los Angeles comedians. The show is recommended for individuals age 16 and older.
The show is part of WCU’s 2012-13 Arts and Cultural Events Performance Series. Next up for ACE is the Strivers Row Poetry Show on Nov. 14.
Tickets for the Upright Citizens Brigade cost $5 and are general admission. Tickets are available through the Bardo Arts Center box office in person, by calling 828-227-2479 or by going online to bardoartscenter.wcu.edu.
