Boulder, Colo., duo 3OH!3 is among acts set to headline the ‘The Starrstrukk House Party Fall Concert’ at 7 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Bardo Arts Center on the campus of Western Carolina University.
“The Starrstrukk House Party Fall Concert,” presented by Last Minute Productions and featuring performing artists DJ MoTo, Travis Porter and 3OH!3, will rocket the decibels in Western Carolina University’s John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26.
Headliner 3OH!3 (as in area code 303), an electro-pop duo formed by Boulder, Colo., denizens Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte, may be best known for the singles “Starrstrukk” and “Don’t Trust Me” from the album “Want,” the former a remix with Katy Perry.
Hip-hop artists comprising the group Travis Porter – stepbrothers Ali and Quez plus childhood friend Strap of Decatur, Ga. – will bring the beats associated with their hits “Bring it Back” and “Make it Rain.”
Opening and closing the concert will be musical mixologist DJ MoTo (Chase Sikorski of Asheville), who opened for Sean Kingston in concert in August at WCU. He describes himself as “an open-format DJ spinning everything from Beastie Boys, Jay-Z, Pitbull to Nirvana and Kravitz – mixing hip-hop, house, rock, pop and everything in between.”
Tickets are $30 for the general public and $25 for students in advance ($30 day of show) and are available at the box office and online at bardoartscenter.wcu.edu.
Rounding out festivities for the event will be the dome tent of the all-day See Me U Tour prior to the evening concert on the lawn of the A.K. Hinds University Center, offering free music and items from sponsors, and an opportunity to register in advance for the soon-to-launch multicampus social media site www.SeeMeU.com.
