Twenty-six Western Carolina University students majoring in education helped fill bags of school supplies to give to about 125 teachers participating in a program offered through WCU’s Center for the Support of Beginning Teachers.

School supplies including a notepad, dry erase markers, pencils, pens, WCU bumper stickers and WCU pins were purchased through the center and the School University Teacher Education Partnership.

Students from WCU’s Teaching Fellows program and Whee Teach, a student organization for preservice teachers, packed the bags of school supplies to deliver to the teachers.
