Asheville information sessions set for MBA program
This article features an event that occurred in the past.
Information sessions will be held in Asheville this summer to allow prospective students to learn about Western Carolina University’s revised master’s degree program in business administration.
During the sessions, program director Steve Ha will talk about the advantages of WCU’s “hands-on” MBA, which has been reorganized as a response to the challenges facing Western North Carolina and the regional economy. With prerequisite courses now eliminated, the program is designed to be integrative and interdisciplinary with a goal of creating independent, lifelong learners who are “business-ready” to assume leadership positions.
Information sessions will be held in Room 103 of Karpen Hall on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Asheville on Friday, July 16, from noon to 1 p.m. and from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and on Thursday, Aug. 19, from noon to 1 p.m.
Each event will begin with a brief presentation, followed by a meet-and-greet with beverages and snacks. Individuals who plan to attend a session are asked to RSVP by e-mail to fdeitz@email.wcu.edu with the date and time of the session they plan to attend.
Prospective students who are unable to attend an information session may schedule an appointment to meet with Ha on July 16 or Aug. 19 in Room 120 of UNCA’s Karpen Hall between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. or 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. Appointments may be made by e-mailing the address above.
