Prospective college students who want to find out what campus life is all about will have an opportunity for a sneak peak as Western Carolina University holds Open House on Saturday, Feb. 27.
Hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Open House gives students and their families a chance to explore the campus. Guests will be able to visit a residence hall; check out WCU’s recently opened Campus Recreation Center; tour classrooms and the library; and learn about extracurricular activities. Western Carolina faculty members will be on hand during an information fair to discuss academic opportunities and career interests.
Open House is scheduled from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Registration and check-in will be held from 8 until 9 a.m., with an opening welcome session getting under way at 9 a.m. in the Fine and Performing Arts Center. Following a campus tour, events will shift to the A.K. Hinds University Center. Lunch will be available on a pay-as-you-go basis in the university’s new Courtyard Dining Hall.
Admitted students also can pay their tuition deposits to secure a spot for the fall 2010 semester.
