Western sets open house for Saturday, Sept. 15

Prospective college students who want to find out what college life is all about will have an opportunity to get their questions answered as Western Carolina University holds Open House on Saturday, Sept. 15.

Hosted by WCU’s Office of Admission, Open House gives students and their families a chance to explore the campus; visit residence halls, classrooms and the library; and learn about extracurricular activities. Western faculty members will be on hand to discuss academic opportunities and career interests.

The day’s events will begin with registration from 8 to 8:30 a.m. in the main lobby of the Fine and Performing Arts Center and an information fair from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the A.K. Hinds University Center. Students and their parents also will have a chance to meet with faculty members, take guided tours of campus and visit campus residence halls. Lunch will be available in the cafeteria on a pay-as-you-go basis.
