Western North Carolina school teachers can win scholarships to pay the cost of a graduate-level course in education through Western Carolina University’s “Invest in Teachers Scholarship” program.
Each scholarship will cover tuition and fees for one resident-credit or distance course being taught this coming fall. The only expense to scholarship recipients is a $40 application fee and the cost of any required text or supplemental materials.
To be considered for the scholarship, teachers must be eligible for in-state tuition rates; must have enrolled as a new student in a graduate-level licensure program at WCU in the summer or fall of this year; must apply for and gain admission to the Graduate School; and must complete the scholarship application.
The deadline for receiving priority consideration is June 15. Applications received after that date will be considered on a case-by-base basis as scholarships remain available.
